Sebastian Katsch is a Technical Director for Responsible Investment based in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is a sustainability, ESG, and environmental advisor with more than 25 years of professional experience supporting financial institutions, private equity investors, real estate funds, and corporates on sustainability-related risks and opportunities. His expertise focuses on sustainable finance, responsible investment, ESG due diligence, and the practical implementation of regulatory frameworks including the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and SFDR.
Sebastian has led numerous national and international assignments covering ESG and climate risk assessments, double materiality assessments, environmental, health and safety (EHS) due diligence, and sustainability strategy development. He has extensive experience supporting M&A transactions, from pre-acquisition due diligence through post-merger integration and value creation initiatives. In addition, he advises investors and companies on resilience, compliance, and risk management, helping organizations navigate evolving sustainability requirements while enhancing long-term business performance.
