That assumption is now being challenged by the combined impact of two major developments: the publication of ISO 14001:2026 and the implementation of the revised EU Industrial Emissions Directive (IED 2.0).

Biography

Based in our Christchurch office, Ross brings more than 30 years of experience in property, infrastructure, planning and development, supporting clients throughout New Zealand. He has worked in government, consulting, utility, and commercial sectors, providing strategic property advice for complex infrastructure and development projects.

Ross specialises in property rights, land acquisition, easement negotiations and stakeholder engagement, helping clients navigate complex land matters to enable successful project delivery. His experience includes major energy, water, transport, and community infrastructure projects, involving the acquisition of property interests, management of Public Works Act processes, and negotiation of land access and easement arrangements.

Known for his practical, solutions-focused approach, Ross works directly with clients and landowners to identify pathways forward and help projects progress from planning through to delivery.
